Reconciliation

Deepen Your Knowledge

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation (also known as just Reconciliation or Confession) provides mercy, healing, and renewal for those seeking forgiveness for their sins. This sacrament is available to all baptized Catholics.

Reconciliation Preparation

Children

Children in St. Luke School or the Religious Education Program receive their first Sacrament of Reconciliation in the second grade. It requires one year of prior religious education, and detailed preparation in second grade. This sacrament is normally celebrated for them in late fall.

Older Children & Adults

Older children and adults prepare for First Reconciliation through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). These candidates receive their First Reconciliation just prior to the Easter Vigil Mass.
