Parish Pastoral Council
St. Luke and St. Bernardine Parish Pastoral Council
The first St. Luke and St. Bernardine Parish Council (PPC) has been named and held its first meeting on April 24, 2023. As defined under the Renew My Church mission, the PPC’s focus essentially is to provide leadership in achieving the new parish vision to be “a welcoming, inclusive, vibrant and joyful community in Christ on a shared journey of faith.” Click here to read the complete version of our parish vision.
The work of past councils has often been to assist the pastor in managing parish issues and to receive information from existing ministry leaders. The new parish council is charged with staying in touch with the full range of parishioners, many of whom may not be active in ministries, and may need to be invited into full participation within the parish. Additionally, the PPC will focus on identifying opportunities to enhance the spiritual and communal experience of current and potential parishioners. Click here to read more about the PPC’s purpose.
