We Welcome You
Welcome to St. Luke and St. Bernardine Parish! Come worship with us and get to know us. Discover opportunities for prayer, fellowship and service to others. Whether you are single, a couple or a family with children … a newcomer or have lived nearby for years … young, old or in between … we invite you to come back, explore, and grow in our Catholic faith.
Learn about us through this website. Join us in worship at either of our two beautiful churches. See how St. Luke and St. Bernardine Parish can be your spiritual home.
We especially encourage families with children to learn about our excellent faith formation programs and our National Blue Ribbon St. Luke School.
Join us for Mass Saturday evenings or Sundays. Participate in our wonderful liturgies enriched by remarkable music. Experience the fellowship of our diverse parish as we celebrate our faith together.
We invite you to be part of our inclusive Catholic community, and pray that you may always know the blessings of our loving God!
What’s Coming Up
Our parish is trainsitioning to a new giving platform!
In an effort to make your consistent giving easier, faster and more secure, our parish is transitioning to a new online giving platform called Pushpay. You can start TODAY to use our new platform by clicking here. It is a simple process that will only take a few minutes to complete.
You can also set up a recurring and automatic gift by visiting the link above. Again, the process is fairly simple.
We will phase out our current online platform, GiveCentral, by the end of the year. If you are using GiveCentral for your reocurring gifts, please transfer over your gifts to Pushpay by logging into your GiveCentral account, go to your “my account” page and delete your gifts. If you would like for us to cancel your recurring gift on GiveCentral, or if you have any questions, please contact Sheila Price at email@example.com or at 708-435-8927.
Sign up for the parish blood drive
St. Luke and St. Bernardine Parish will host a blood drive on Sunday, October 2, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at St. Bernardine Church. Appointments are required, and you can sign up using this link, www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time. You will be prompted to type a zip code, either 60305 or 60130 will do, and scroll down to Sunday, October 2, where you will find St. Bernardine Church. From there, you can sign up for a donation time.
Appointments fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve yours now! Contact Susan Rohde at 708-307-5811 for more info.
Recipe deadline for cookbook extended
Have you been meaning to contribute a recipe or two to the parish cookbook but just haven’t gotten around to it? You’re in luck — the deadline has be extended to October 9.
Look through your favorite recipes and find at least one — but as many as five recipes — to be candidates for the parish cookbook. (We can’t promise every recipe will be published, but we’ll try!) The cookbook will include recipes from every culinary category, from appetizers to vegetables, entrees to desserts, beverages to barbecue, gluten-free to dairy-free and more.
Email your recipes to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or write them out on paper and put them in the designated boxes at the main doors of both church sites. And to make it even easier, you don’t need to fill out the submission form. Just make sure your recipes include your name if you want it to be printed next to your recipes in the cookbook.
Don’t forget, the deadline is October 9.
